Avoiding Scams While Traveling

Taking a trip can be stressful, but ultimately should be fun and memorable.  The last thing you would expect is to have issues involving fraud or a scam. We’ll discuss certain scams to avoid and share tips on keeping your personal and financial information safe when traveling.

Monarch Butterflies

6:30pm Tuesday, May 7

Dr. Kelsey Fisher from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station will be here to give us information designed to equip us to establish monarch butterfly habitats in our own spaces. Each attendee will also be going home with native milkweed seeds to help jumpstart our efforts in helping the monarchs!

6:30pm Thursday, May 9

Whether you knit blankets for charity, quilt compulsively, fold flowers out of paper, or design decals on your laptop, crafters of all mediums and experience levels can work on projects, socialize, and learn something new in a low-stakes environment. This month we’ll show you how to make vines out of paper. Try it out yourself, or just work on your own projects.
