WOW, WOW, WOW. We had a record breaking Spring sale, making over $11,000 which will help support the many wonderful programs our library offers.
Our success was due to a very generous community who donated their gently used books, a faithful sorting group who organized and boxed the books for storage, good publicity, muscular volunteers (including staff and students from Cheshire Academy) who unboxed books and organized them onto tables, helpful cashiers and sales personnel, and a very supportive library staff. This truly was a group accomplishment!
We had a whopping 30% more books/digital offerings than the fall, with almost 16,700 titles offered. We also accepted credit cards for the first time, which accounted for 19% of our sales.
Because of your help and support the Friends can continue to fund great library programs for children, adults, and staff development. This joint effort makes Cheshire Public Library, a library that we can all be proud of.
Thank you all again!
